From simple beginning of conducting social and welfare treks for Govt. school children and orphans in the outskirt of Chennai, our programme list started adding and now we have a whole set of outdoor activities charted and tailored to suit every need of our partners. All our programmes are conducted by trained professionals with mountaineering course certificate. Regular planning, site visits, self training and action plan are made before the programme schedule and ourtrack record is clean so far.
In human development and evolution, Man was an active wanderer for food, survival and shelter. This ancient spirit carried Man to move from places, adventuring the hardships through thick jungles, high mountains and flowing rivers. As civilized and settled still we linger on our old habits. Mountaineering as a sport has become more organized, structured and scientific. Man started to climb peaks as achievement as well as a sense of fulfillment and connection with nature. Technology has paved way to develop wonderful gears which helped people to climb, walk and seek nature with more enthusiasm and courage. Of course India is a land of nature with beautiful mountains and thick forest. Initially it was a survival strategy for tribal community and slowly became a hobby during colonial rule. Now it is a sport where young enthusiast learn to climb, trek and cross all natural barriers and obstacles for pleasure, fun, achievement and also to relate with nature.
Trekking has become so popular, people wanted to move from concrete jungles into the bewilder ness. Trekking into jungles, forests and untrailed paths are becoming popular among youth as well as elderly youths. Trekking is walking into forests or natural world. Usually treks are organized with a known guide to locate and take on the known trails some times experts and other pathfinder groups look for new trails and identify different paths or trekking route to make it more interesting and exciting.
It is a mountaineering technique used to climb or pass high rocks, or mountains. It requires skills, techniques, training and equipment. Some of the techniques are mentioned below.
Sport climbing is becoming quite popular among youngsters and it is widely taken up by adventure enthusiasts. A sport climbing is done on artificial walls or structures created to give climbing challenges for bouldering, speed climbing and route setting. It is interesting and can be a sport activity for all age groups.
River crossing (Zipline) also a mountaineering technique used to cross the natural barriers like rivers or high mountains. Ropes are fixed at two points using anchor and knot techniques, and the climbers or trekkers or mountaineers can cross the rivers or high peaks. Gears like ropes, carabineer, anchor tool, slide sling etc are used for this purpose.
Parasailing is a recreational activity where a person's harness is hooked to and towed behind a vehicle while attached to a parachute. The vehicle then drives off to give flight to the chute, carrying the parasailer into the air. The parasailer has no control over the parachute but is safely hooked on to the vehicle which maneuvers his flight. The Parasailer experience upto 100ft to 200 ft height with approx 1 to 3 minutes of airtime (depending on wind conditions and place selection).
The study of nature and wildlife started much earlier in the end of 18th century, great people like Darwin, Linnaeus, etc where propounded many theories based on the nature and wildlife study. It is also an important requirement for science enthusiast to understand nature. Nature and wildlife treks can bring interest; inculcate the appreciation of beauty, and understanding the classification of flora and fauna of the locality. It also builds scientific attitude, curiosity and experimentation.
These activities will be part of main programmesconducted in a camp or included in training setups (outbound, schools, colleges, corporates) based on the need of the group dynamics.The activites from time to time will be synergized and a sort of enquiry method is adapted to actualize the self, this works well with young adults and adults.
Obstacle Course is excellent training to mind and muscle coordination which can bring excellence in physical strength, aptitude and presence of mind. It kindles to cross obstacles, en-vigor and succeed.
Family camps are real joy and fun for the entire family or group of families, activities are designed to enhance relationship, understanding, taking up roles and role shifting, which will be of more fun way in the natural ambience. The family members will be given opportunities to vent out their feeling and emotions through various means. The camp also provides families with Joy-sharing, Family goals, and Educational support for children.
Summer camps for school students and college students are conducted yearly or seasonally. The sole purpose of these camps will be much awaited time-out from daily routines and academic/work stress. Nature provides real soothing environment to relax, rejuvenate and charge you with energy and vigour. It will be a mixture of adventure cum fun activities loaded with surprises.
